Weekly Photo Challenge – CN Tower – Between

CN Tower Sandwich

Last week I spent the afternoon out on Centre Island for a work function. Once back in the city my colleagues and I were walking across Queens Quay heading towards our next destination…drinks on the patio 🙂 I had to stop when I saw this scene, the CN Tower seemingly sandwiched between tow condo buildings.  I thought this would be perfect for this weeks theme.

This was shot with my iPhone 4s and processed with Snapseed to crop and for some minor adjusts and then with iColorama to create this overall painterly effect.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Letters

Just a quick post today as I head out on this sunny Sunday. Hope you’re all enjoying your weekend. For some reason I’ve stopped getting the Weekly Photo Challenges in my inbox on Fridays. Has this happened to anyone else? I realized this was the challenge this week but visiting other blogs.

Anyway…can anyone guess why I picked this letter? 🙂

Weekly Photo Challenge – Street Life

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted an iPhone photo and when I saw this week’s challenge I immediately thought of this image. I shot this the last time I was in Manhattan but have never posted it. This is a part of street life you see in New York every day.

Weekly Photo Challenge – Reflections

I shared this image on my Facebook page this week but couldn’t resist including it in this week’s Photo Challenge.

I do try and post different content on Facebook so please jump on over to my page and have a look. While you’re there you can “like” the page to stay up to date. You can find me at www.facebook.com/EdithLevyPhotography

Weekly Photo Challenge – Abandoned

My contribution to this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge are some images that I took on my trip to Italy back in the summer of 2011. I originally process these as HDR when I first got back and was not at all happy with the way they turned out so I never posted them. Since that time I’ve started to use Lightroom and when I saw this weeks challenge I went back to my archives and decided to process just one exposure of each image solely in LR5. I was quite pleased with the end result. Let me know what you think.

Oh…we were driving from Florence to Amalfi on this day and stopped just south of Florence and came across this abandon farmhouse. What character this place has. It would make a great fixer upper 🙂

Weekly Photo Challenge – Object

It’s been awhile since I’ve participated in the Weekly Photo Challenge. I keep meaning too but life has just been too hectic. While I was processing more images from Prospect Park I came across this one. At the time I almost walked right past this and then I stopped and turned back as the pink caught my eye. When you come across something that’s out of place do you ever wonder what the story behind it is? I know I do and in this instance I imaged a little girl dropping her gloves while playing in the park. Mom probably didn’t notice because she was busy focusing  on the child and not on a mere object, as it should be.  Somebody walking by probably found these gloves on the ground and placed them on the post in hopes of the owner finding them. I wonder if the owner ever did come back to look for them?

Hope your all having a good weekend.
