The Pool Deck at Sunset
Well I don’t know about you but Toronto was hit with one of the worst snowstorms it’s seen in years this past Friday. I know that our neighbours to the east, both here in Canada and in the U.S. were hit just as bad and in some cases worst. I hope everyone stayed safe and snug indoors.
Of course when the cold and snow hits my thoughts often meander over to warmer destinations and as I’m still working through my images from our recent cruise I couldn’t help but think that I would really rather be on the pool deck of the Navigator of the Seas then shovelling my drive way.
Click on the image to enlarge (it really looks better) or to Purchase a Print.
It’s a pleasant sight for anyone that was caught up in the storm.

Glad you guys rode through the blizzard okay.
This is a beautiful image, Edith. Yes, who would rather be anywhere else besides a luxury liner like this. You’ve capture the moment here very well.

Hope everything is OK from the storm. There is a nice inviting feel to this image, which is what both the cruise line and you as the photographer wanted – nice one, Edith!

I was in the Toronto airport three or four years ago and was caught in one of your snowstorms. My flight was cancelled and all the hotels in Toronto were immediately booked, but I made it out of the airport on snowy to a place called the Mohawk Inn. When I went out the next morning, there was something close to a foot of snow on my rental and I felt a vey long way from home.
I surely would have loved to have had these pictures to look at then.
Awesome.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and leave a comment Tim. You’re timing is about right. I think it was about 4 or 5 years ago that we had a major snowstorm like the one we had last Friday. Let’s hope it’s another 5 years before we get hit like this again.

Maybe one of these cruise ships should dock at a northern port during a snowstorm so tourists from warm climates could have the experience of shoveling some snow. Shoveling would be realer than shuffleboard.
