I processed this image using my usual workflow of LR & Photoshop then used Topaz Impression and Topaz Texture of its final treatment.

Breaking Waves
I wanted to convey the movement of the kiteboarder by doing an in-camera multiple exposure. After my usual workflow of subtle adjustments in Lightroom I used Topaz Texture FX to create an ethereal feel to the image. In photoshop I added a contrast layer to make the kiteboarder pop then use a layer mask to remove the added contrast from the rest of the image.

Welcome to the Peer Hotel
This little fella was acting as either a protector or the welcoming committee for this small hotel in Tel Aviv. I couldn’t tell….you decide!
After some initial processing of the RAW file in Lightroom I used Topaz Texture Effects to give this a monochrome, old-time feel. I then brought the image back in Photoshop and used a layer mask to remove the texture effect from the cat.

Afternoon in the Village
Taking a little break from my subway station images of New York this is a shot of a small park in Greenwich Village.
This was a quick “grab” shot as my husband and I were walking around the village. It was late afternoon, the light was not great actually it was pretty dull but I liked the scene. I processed this image in Lightroom CC and then brought it into Photoshop where I used Topaz Texture Effects. I used a couple of different filters, tweaking each as I went to get my final result.
On another note, I posted two versions of a night shot of Times Square (colour & Black & White) on my Facebook and Instagram pages this weekend. I asked for feedback on which people preferred, the colour version or the B&W one. It was a pretty even split with the colour beating to the B&W by 1 vote. I’d love to know what you think.
