Malaga Port

Another beautiful place to spend an evening in Malaga is at the port / marina. It’s a great place to eat, shop and of course do some night photography. The beach, port and old town are all within a 10 minute walk from each other. If you’re planning a trip to Spain make a stop in Malaga, you won’t be disappointed.

Floating Pier

In contrast to the bustling crowds at the old port in Tel Aviv on any given night is the view out to sea. This was a 52 second long exposure.

Jaffa Light

Jaffa has been one of the major port cities in the Mediterranean for thousands of years. Most archeologists believe that this town has had an active port since the Bronze Age. While its no longer a working harbour there are still sailboats gliding through the clear blue waters and young men and women fishing off the pier. Today this trendy area is home to restaurants, galleries, artist studios and boutiques.

I spent the evening shooting in Old Jaffa with its myriad of alleyways (still working on processing those images) but wanted to share this image of the old port with Jaffa Light standing guard.

Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee

Here’s one more from Falmouth, Jamaica. Oh and their coffee was quite good. If you look behind the palm tree you can see the ship…larger then any of the buildings in port (or the city for that matter).

Have a great weekend everyone.

Patty Port

A couple of exciting things happened yesterday that I wanted to share with you. Imagine my surprise when I received WordPress’ Daily Post email, Phoneography Favorites, and  last weeks, iPhone Friday – A Visit To Western post was among those that were featured. Thank you WordPress.

I wrote an article for the April issue of Denise Ippolito’s Creative Photography eMiniMagazine which was released yesterday. You can check out “Early to Bend (not really) Early to Rise (yes really) in NOLA here.

Now on to today’s image. This is another one that I took while meandering around the port area in Falmouth, Jamaica.
