Rolling Hills of Tuscany

The beauty of Tuscany never ceases to amaze me. As you drive through Tuscany these scenes are all around you forcing you to pull over and just marvel at its beauty.

I entered this image in my clubs Print Competition and I found out last week that it came in second. I’m very proud that it was recognized but I have to say it was one point less then the winning image so I was a little disappointed.

I can see why it did so well Edith. Congrats. It has a terrific composition, a great subject and I think the post processing just caps it off.

Edith Levy takes the most incredible photographs of breathtaking scenery from around the world. I highly recommend checking out her work and maybe even purchasing some photographs for yourself 🙂

  18. Oh wow, Edith, I just love this piece! The texture you’ve applied here really brings out the character of the landscape and adds to it perfectly. Great stuff!!

  19. So near and yet so far! If it’s any consolation I heard/read a recent interview with a photographic judge who said that unless an image is a ‘WOW’ for the whole panel then a ‘compromise’ image that they can all agree on usually wins – after all, it is a consensus and we all like different things.
    Great image by the way!
