Pier 39 Amusement

Pier 39 is a waterfront complex on the wharf right on San Francisco Bay with outstanding view of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and the Bay Bridge. One of the attractions on the pier is the San Francisco Carousel. The carousel was handcrafted in Italy and has hand paintings of famous San Francisco landmarks such as Lombard Street, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Because I was away last week I didn’t have time to prepare a proper review for Topaz Lens Effects but I wanted to let you know of a promotion that Topaz Labs is running right now. Until July 31st you can get 50% off Lens Effects ($79.99 to $39.99). Use PROMO CODE julylens. If you want to get an idea of what this wonderful plug-in does check out one of Topaz Labs upcoming webinars dedicated to Lens Effects. You can check a couple of my previous posts where I’ve processed images using Lens Effect here and here.

Lens Effects highlights include:

  • Bokeh (blur) to minimize undesired backgrounds and foregrounds
  • Filter characteristics like Neutral Density
  • Creative focus effects like motion, miniatures and dual focus
  • Depth-of-field adjustments
  • Separate controls for adjusting background and foreground details

  6. All the fun of the fair – as we way in the UK. Clever viewpoint – wherever you look there’s something happening in the frame.

What a brilliant, fun, photo, we visited San Fran a couple of years ago, just for a couple of days and we had the biggest plate of food that I have ever had, on Pier 39 🙂
